Shoplifting and shop ban: what now?
Questioner
I don't know what to do anymore. I committed shoplifting and was banned from the store. I paid for the product and was allowed to leave. How do I know if the store will report it? They have a thief sticker. No police were called. Did they have to discuss it with me/fill it in together? I don't know what to do. Can I do anything to get rid of this uncertainty? I don't sleep or eat. Constantly looking for information. I work in childcare.... Have I lost my job? No one is talking about it, no one seems to know. I'm really going crazy. What can I do now? I know my question has been answered before, but the uncertainty remains.Lawyer
You can keep asking this question, but you won't get any different answers. Based on your information, I assume that the store did not file a report. You will not have anything to do with the police and will only get away with a fright and a ban from the store. There is no point in waking sleeping dogs and asking the store owner or the police for information about a possible report. So leave it alone. There is nothing more you can do. It has happened. You have paid for the item and the matter is settled. Your work in childcare is separate from this event.Neem de volgende stap
