Reporting assault - Legal Aid Office

Last Sunday I temporarily cleared away some waste paper that had been lying around for a week. Apparently they like to leave it outside all month. I looked to see who the old paper belonged to, and I found 3 addresses. I have put a letter (at the house number) in the mailboxes of those 3 addresses requesting them to bring in the old paper if it is not collected, and not to leave the rubbish on the street for a month. Also shared whether they could put the old paper that I had cleared out on the street again next month. One of the addressees rang the doorbell very angrily, I looked out of the window, and the person raised his finger when he saw me. I went outside to explain a few things. The man was angry that the paper was not his. Then came very aggressive behavior and language work. I'll knock your teeth out, I'll call the police. The man also couldn't keep his hands to himself, so he also felt the need to hit me on the chin. It wasn't hard, but it hit me. Can I file a complaint because he hit me?
