Right to extra vacation days? Find out here!

Questioner

Hello, I recently asked this question, my employment conditions state that if I have been employed for between 5 and 8 years, I am entitled to 1 extra day of vacation per year (8 hours). I have now been employed for 6 years and recently told my boss that I have not yet received this vacation day, now he claims that I am not entitled to it because he bought the company 2 years ago. And I have only been employed for 2 years. However, he works with the same employment conditions booklet and I have never signed a new contract or for new employment conditions. I received the answer to this that my employer is wrong. I then informed him about the fact that I do not agree with it and that I have never signed for anything again. I then received this response from him: Ps, those 8 hours are not correct. I have already had them checked. You are really only entitled to them if you work consecutively for 1 employer. It is true that your agreement has not changed or been adjusted. We did this on purpose, so that you (the employees) did not suffer at all from the takeover, but of course a lot has happened behind the scenes. It also does not matter that I hired you at the time, that is all just a coincidence. What should I do now? He's just not right?

Lawyer

If your boss has taken over the company, he will also take over all the employment conditions, including acquired rights based on the number of years of service. So he must also give that extra vacation day
