Hello, I rented a studio, and now I have a problem, I have already told my landlord and caretaker several times, I have a ventless water heater WITHOUT a drain.. This can cause me to get carbon monoxide poisoning, I have already spoken to them about this several times, but nothing is done. what can i do and what are my rights

If your landlord fails to meet his obligations under the lease ('is in default'), you as a tenant have the right to suspend (part of) the rent payments. In order to be able to claim your right of suspension, you must send your landlord a letter in which you formally inform him of this default once again, give him the opportunity to resolve this default and put him in default. You must also announce in this letter that you will suspend your payment obligations if your landlord fails to meet this obligation. Send the letter preferably by registered mail.
