Can the housing association refuse you a home because they know you are a pedophile? Not practicing, so no crimes committed. No history with justice or police. In other words, pedophile and not pedosexual. Can the housing association discuss this with local residents? Does the housing association have anything to do with my sexual feelings or is this pure discrimination?

Dear sir, if the housing association does this, it is exceeding its remit. That should never happen, of course. It should certainly not be grounds for an eviction or dissolution procedure! In your defense at court in a possible (unexpected for you) procedure, you can certainly play this out.
