Landlord Excessive Deposit Charges

Six months after leaving my flat, my landlord has responded about the deposit. He claims the general repairs totalled €1,700, which is already excessive for what he claims needed doing, plus €280 for cleaning. He also wants to charge half of €1,500 for entirely new floor, due to some water damage which he claims is from 'walking on it with wet feet' (not because of the mould/damp he didn't fix for almost a year). He THEN wants to charge a month's rent (€1,900) for the two months it took to do the repairs!

Grand total: €4,630, and he therefore claims we owe him money. This is seems absurd! Is there anything I can do to dispute this?

There was a delivery rapport made on the day you left the appartement? Is there also one before date entry rental agreement? Did you accept the rapported damage? When you did: you may contradict the arguments: normal wear and tear are costs for the Landlord, if there is damage on your part, you may argue the height and reduce it by using day values.
