I returned to the UK from the Netherlands in 1992 after almost 17 years

I had a heart attack and a stent fitted in 2012, and just after that, I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and I am now partially disabled as my left leg is almost paralysed.

Some days I walk with a crutch, but other days I have to use a wheelchair.

Would I qualify for any types of Dutch disability benefit payments. I paid into the Dutch system from 1976 to 1992.

I receive a disablement benefit in the UK, but as you may gather, my days of employment are over, so any type of extra income would be welcome.

Best regards,

I'm afraid not. You may have paid taxes over the years you've lived in the Netherlands, but you neither live nor work here anymore, and assuming you do not have a Dutch passport/nationality, this means you do not have any 'links' with the Netherlands now that you've moved back to the UK. There are no grounds such as nationality or domicile on which the Dutch government could grant you any type of benefit.
